Terefe Naregu of Ethiopia finished this morning's 39th Annual Peachtree Road Race with a time of 28:29 to take home a $15,000 prize. Ukraine's Nataliya Berkut won the women's division.
Atlanta police said they will be closing streets in parts of Atlanta due to events taking place this weekend.
For those who are not heading out of town for the 4th of July weekend, there will be plenty going on here at home -- beginning with the big 39th annual Peachtree Road Race.

Former Sen. Jesse Helms, who served 30 years in Congress, died on the Fourth of July, the Jesse Helms research center says. He was 86.
