Discussion:
We are tracking an approaching cold front that is bringing back our next chance of showers and thunderstorms to the area. The storms are forecast to weaken before they reach our area.
With the scattered showers and storms and mostly cloudy skies through the day, temps will be seasonable in the mid to upper 70s for highs.
The rain will be wide spread during the morning. It will be light for the most part. There will be a few moderate pockets.
The rain becomes more isolated by the afternoon. There will be few embedded t-storms as well. Rain chances are 40%, so there will be some dry areas.
We are not currently included in the Storm Prediction Center's severe weather threat. Isolated storms may still be capable of producing heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds, but storms are expected to stay below severe criteria.
We clear out quickly behind the cold front, and sunshine returns for Wednesday. Temperatures soar for the middle of the week. Highs will climb to the mid to upper 80s Wednesday and Thursday.
Over the weekend, it'll be very summer-like. Afternoons will be warm with scattered showers and storms developing each day.
